  • What types of products does Standard Steel provide?

    At Standard we supply red iron and roll form steel framing; wall and roof panels; and related accessories.  These include roll-up and walk-thru doors, wall and roof insulation, and gutters/downspouts.  We can offer traditional R-Panels, or more custom profiles like metal board-and-batten and architectural panels.  A large selection of standard colors are offered, with the option of custom colors when needed.

  • Can Standard Steel manage both provisioning and installation services?

    Yes; Standard can assist clients from initial design, through metal provisioning, erection services, and finally punch-list and project completion.  We can also provide engineering stamped building plans and/or foundation drawings when needed. 

  • What types of customers does Standard Steel work with?

    We work with general contractors, developers, commercial property owners and investors.  Our focus is providing high touch services on client projects located throughout the state of Arkansas.

  • Can Standard Steel help me with designing a project?

    Due to our experience with metal buildings, we can offer our clients guidance early on in their projects.  We can help refine property and building layouts, review design options to optimize building efficiencies and aesthetics, and provide feedback on costs to maximize client value.  We have worked from every level of design, from a basic customer sketch to fully developed architectural and engineering plans.  We also have a design tool built into our website to allow customers to design projects from scratch.

  • How long does it typically take for Standard Steel to provide a building package?

    It is highly dependent on the complexity of the building design.  However, the typical project of simple design takes 6 to 8 weeks once all design documents are complete.  Standard building components for repairs or limited additions/remodels can be much quicker, typically 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Does Standard Steel handle delivery?

    All pricing includes freight to your job site.  We verify all orders are delivered on time and in good condition.  We also insure the accuracy of each order.

  • In what applications can pre-engineering buildings (PEMB’s) be used?

    Due to their flexibility and cost effectiveness, PEMB’s are being used in traditional industrial/warehouse construction, self-storage facilities, commercial projects (including office and retail), and specialized uses like churches and schools.  Cost and complexity are greatly reduced, meaning the general contractor and/or owner can recognize cost savings and shorter time to market.
